Nikolas de Masi was born in Broken Hill in 1976. He has balanced working as a teacher with his life as a painter and sculptor.
Nik’s paintings boldly explore layering of colour and texture, barely tethering himself to the figurative and largely opting for abstract expression.
A recent trip to India influences these recent works and continues the seductive exploration of colour and distinctive mark making.
